ai200-TX
underground pipe and cable locator transmitter
injects active signals by direct connection, induced
with clamp or with a built-in antenna:
- In places where it is possible to make a direct
connection, ai200 underground pipe and cable locator
signals are injected with alligator clamps: de-energized
electric cables, telephone cables, water and gas
metallic pipes, etc.
- If it is possible to access
the cable but is energized, signals may be induced
with the underground cable locator´s injection
clamp: energized MV and LV cables, telephone cables,
etc.
- If the cable can not be
reached or its position is unknown, induction can
be made from the earth surface using a built-in
antenna on the ai200 underground cable locator:
electricity, telephone, gas and water utilities
cable and pipe avoidance before digging, etc.
Injected power level on ai200 underground pipe
and cable locator is selectable up to 10W.
Measures loop impedance, making it possible to
choose the best working frequency on each case.

ai200-RX
underground pipe and cable locator receiver detects
3 active signals (sent by the transmitter) and 2
passive 50/60Hz and radio signals (radiated by utility
networks).
Built-in antenna configuration
on ai200 underground pipe locator automatically
calculates the target position with a digitally
processed algorithm.
A large size LCD screen shows
two arrows that help users pinpoint underground
pipe and cables in an easy and intuitively way.
Measures pipes and cables depth by
pushing a simple button.
As an optional feature ai200 can also positively
identify (discriminate) electric and telephone
cables using different types of sensors, depending
on cables accessibility (trenches, manholes,
transformer substations, etc.).
